GOD HAS GREAT THINGS IN STORE FOR HIS CHURCH IN THIS COMING YEAR. WE ARE TO BE ABOUT OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS  AS HIS WORD TELLS US IN THE BOOK OF MARK 16

Mark 16:15-20

15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

LET US REACH THE WORLD AND PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL

Luke 1:26-38
God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”

34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”

38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me according to your word.” Then the angel left her.

This announcement of Jesus birth was fulfilled and today we celebrate His birth. To each of us let us spend time with our family and friends by enjoying this time of the year. Let Jesus come alive in your heart by faith just as He was born on centuries ago. This is the season to celebrate.

STAND IN GOD’S POWER (STRENGTH)

So you want to be a born again child of God? Remember He will help you stand in His strength.

Isa 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee,

                Garden of Eden—-man and woman

O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel,

                Formed a nation with 12 people

Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,

Why are you worried, stressed out, faint hearty, is God not the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

 I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

You have a new name given to you by God (Lamb’s book of Life) when you accept this by faith. If you are not in spiritual battle-you need to check up and see if you have exited the straight and narrow road that leads to heaven. 

2 When thou passest through the waters, When you can’t swim-you will drown in water….waters could  be the situations that you face with the world…that’ when we should just shake off the fetters, weights, and praise Jesus.

Shake it off when our closet friends let’s us down, when our church friends talk about us-remember Jesus was rejected on all fronts.

I know what ever specific challenges may take you, I know that they are to strength you, to develop your character, cause you to persevere. To sanctify , purify, teach the benefits and disciplines of sacrifice. You will go through many trials and tests, loneliness, persecutions, times that you might want to give up.  

Just praise Him and His mercy and grace will give you joy again.God said : study my Word, if they were my promises, they will come to pass. Do not doubt my revelations. Were they not of me, then I will hinder their fulfillment, for I want your best. Thank you Jesus, praise your name.
